GEOMETRY & FORM

INDIVIDUAL (10%)
TASK

Students must engage in the exploration and creation of four models based on the selected ordering principle in form and volume. Specifically, three models should individually represent the primary elements of line, point, and plane. The fourth model should be a composite that combines two or all three of these primary elements.

The objective is to foster a fundamental comprehension of architectural design elements, principles, and approaches. This involves the development of ideas, the creation of designs, and the production of both geometric 2D artworks and 3D forms.

The Process

Embarking on research and drawing inspiration from platforms such as Pinterest serves as a crucial initial step in idea generation.

Commencing with sketches enables the encapsulation of preliminary concepts and thoughts, providing a groundwork for the subsequent evolution of the design.

01

Selecting Ordering Principle

Repetition was selected as the foundational design principle

02

Exploration

Models representing point, line, and plane are explored with the guidance and advice of the tutor.

03

Combination

The final composite model results from the fusion of the plane and line.

04

Tattoo-stamps

Four tattoo stamps shall be produced
